?-Too many teachers give up on black men and not enough stick around.
*-How can a task like this (defying the system) be accomplished if we as a people dont pull together as a community to create unity instead of division?
*-It is up to us and them(young black men) to make sure we put a stop to stereotypes by not yielding to stereotypes.
*-Education is away out of the hood
*-Refuse to succmb to negatives
*-Black boys need educated advocates
*-Support organizations in these communities(Manhood development program)
*-People need to watch their actions around young children.
*-Positive guidance is the foundation to success

-Create an organization/network filled with women and men mentors,flooding oakland neighborhoods and schools. A much needed hands on approach giving oakland a new voice from survivors and soldiers.
-Tucker could have pointed out more positive things instead of focusing on the negative, she labels oakland as a “bad place”
-More “hands on” activities that require students to use their voices
-More teachers like Mr.Robinson, caring and patient teachers and counselors
