Write an interpretation of the last two pages of Beloved. It should be between 750-1000 words. The goal in this paper is to do a "close reading" of the words of the text. A close reading is when you analyze the word choice, the phrasing, the echoing, the allusions, the double and triple meaning of words and phrases, just like we did in class with, "This is not a story to pass on." In your paragraphs you will quote sentences, words and phrases and then analyze what Morrison is saying to the reader at the end of this incredible novel. In the body of the paper you have to use at least two moments earlier in the novel to make sense out of what you are analyzing in the last two pages.
